On a world where descendants of the dinosaurs struggle with a clan of humans for survival, Kerrick, a young hunter, grows to manhood among the dinosaurs before escaping to rejoin his own kind. His knowledge of their customs makes him the humans' leader and the dinosaurs' greatest enemy, in a saga described as rivaling Frank Herbert's Dune in scope.
