The fourth book in the Fablehaven series reveals that two hidden artifacts have been discovered, with three more still unrecovered. The Society of the Evening Star continues its search for powerful talismans, putting preserves at risk. Kendra finds a clue in Patton's Journal of Secrets that leads to the key for one of the artifacts. To retrieve it, the Knights of the Dawn must enter a dangerous dragon sanctuary called Wyrmroost. They also need to steal a sacred object from the centaurs. As the group races to find all five artifact keys, questions arise about trust and survival. The story builds toward the ultimate goal of preventing the release of a great demon.
