About “Blowups Happen”
"Blowups Happen" is a 1940 science fiction short story by Robert A. Heinlein. It is one of two stories in which Heinlein, based on public knowledge of nuclear fission, predicted the development of nuclear technology. The other story, "Solution Unsatisfactory," deals with a nuclear weapon, but it describes a radiological device, not a nuclear explosive.
