About “The Long Divorce”
The English town of Cotten Abbas is plagued by anonymous poisoned pen letters accusing recipients of crimes or moral breaches, at least one of which appears connected to a death in the town. The newly arrived Mr. Datchery clearly knows more than he says about the letters' source. A case of murder puzzles Oxford professor Gervase Fen, and evidence looks damning against town doctor Helen Downing, who appears to be framed for a murder connected to the letters.
