About “Calling All Creeps!”

Ricky Beamer is angry when he is removed from the school paper. To play a joke on Tasha, the strict editor in chief, he writes a message in the paper saying, "If you're a creep, call Tasha after midnight." But the message is altered, and Ricky starts receiving calls from students who claim to be creeps. These students have strange features, like scaly purple skin and long sharp fangs. The joke turns serious as Ricky faces unexpected consequences. The story is from a 1996 novel by R. L. Stine.
