While exploring a burned-down antique store, he finds a typewriter. He takes it home and begins writing, but the typewriter is strange and dangerous. As Zackie writes scary words, they start to come true. His story begins to affect reality, bringing his fictional horrors to life. The novel follows Zackie as he deals with the terrifying consequences of his writing.
