About “Dragonslayer”
Dragonslayer is a 1981 American dark fantasy film directed by Matthew Robbins and co-written by Robbins and Hal Barwood. It stars Peter MacNicol in his feature film debut as a young sorcerer who faces trials while hunting the dragon Vermithrax Pejorative in a fictional medieval kingdom. The film was a co-production between Paramount Pictures and Walt Disney Productions, with Paramount handling North American distribution and Disney managing international distribution through Buena Vista International.
