About “The Cole Protocol”

In the early days of the Human-Covenant War, the UNSC implemented the Cole Protocol to protect Earth and the Inner Colonies from the Covenant. Navy Lieutenant Jacob Keyes is given a secret mission by ONI to eliminate navigation data that could expose human locations. His mission takes him deep into enemy territory, where he encounters the planet Hesiod, a gas giant surrounded by an asteroid belt. Survivors of Covenant attacks have fled to the asteroid belt, forming a settlement called the Rubble with the help of human Insurrectionists. They have established an uneasy truce with a Kig-Yar Covenant presence. This situation intersects with the Spartan Gray Team, a renegade squad sent to disrupt enemy operations. Meanwhile, a ruthless Elite, seeking power and rank, is also moving through the area. The novel explores the complex dynamics of survival and conflict in a war-torn universe.
