About “Death of a chimney sweep”

In the far north of the Scottish Highlands, villagers rely on itinerant chimney sweep Pete Ray and his old-fashioned brushes. Police Constable Hamish Macbeth discovers blood dripping from a villager's fireplace and a body stuffed inside the chimney. Though the town suspects Pete, Hamish doubts the affable sweep is a killer. When Pete's own body turns up on the moors, Hamish must find who is responsible.
