
About “Death of a policeman”
Local police stations across the Scottish Highlands face closure, and Detective Chief Inspector Blair sees a chance to be rid of Sergeant Hamish Macbeth. Blair sends a young officer, Cyril Sessions, to Lochdubh to monitor Macbeth's daily conduct. Macbeth learns of the plan and prepares a full report for Cyril to bring back, but Cyril is soon found dead, making Hamish the prime suspect in his murder.
