Bakery owner Hannah Swensen is preparing for Lake Eden, Minnesota's Winter Carnival when celebrity Connie Mac, chosen to create the official Carnival cake, arrives and proves bossy and bad-tempered. When Hannah finds the cake burnt and Connie Mac dead in her pantry after eating one of Hannah's blueberry muffins, she must solve the murder herself to save her business.
