"The Swineherd" is a short story by Hans Christian Andersen first published on December 20, 1841, by C. A. Reitzel in Copenhagen, Denmark. It is part of Fairy Tales Told for Children. New Collection. Third Booklet. The story features a prince who disguises himself as a swineherd to win the affection of an arrogant princess.
