About “The Will of the Many”

The Catenan Republic, also known as the Hierarchy, rules the world but is unaware of all secrets. The protagonist, pretending to be Vis Telimus, tells the Hierarchy he was an orphan who entered their top school through luck. He claims he will surrender his strength and drive, known as Will, to those above him when he graduates, as all citizens must. He tells them he belongs, and they believe him. In reality, he was sent to the Academy to solve a murder, find an ancient weapon, and uncover dangerous secrets. He also refuses to give his Will to the empire that killed his family. To survive, he must rise through the Academy's ranks. If he fails, those who know his real identity will abandon him. If the Hierarchy discovers who he truly is, they will kill him.
