A 1912 book by Bertrand Russell, in which the author confines himself mainly to problems of philosophy about which he thought it possible to say something positive and constructive, since merely negative criticism seemed out of place. Theory of knowledge occupies a larger space than metaphysics in the volume, and some much-discussed topics are treated only briefly, if at all.
