In the year 2059, Lieutenant Eve Dallas investigates the brutal murder of the Swisher family, found dead in their home. The crime scene reveals five victims, including two children, killed with military precision. The killers bypassed an advanced security system and used night-vision equipment to enter the house. They killed each victim while they slept, leaving the house in under ten minutes. The only survivor is nine-year-old Nixie Swisher, who was in the kitchen getting a soda when the attack happened. Eve Dallas, known for her skills and resources, takes on the case, determined to protect Nixie and uncover the truth. She faces the challenge of helping a child who has lost everything, while also confronting her own fears.
