About “Death in paradise”

The Paradise Men's Softball League has finished another game, and Jesse Stone is in the parking lot with his teammates, drinking beer and sharing stories under the late-summer sky. A frightened voice calls him from the shore of a nearby lake, where two men are standing over a body facedown in the water. The local police are unfamiliar with the scene, but Jesse recognizes the signs of a murder. The girl was shot and dumped, not drowned or suicidal. Her parents show no concern, and no one has reported her missing. Jesse has only a school ring and his instincts to start the investigation.
