About “Night passage”

After a failed marriage worsened his drinking problem and the LAPD fired him, 35-year-old Stone's future seemed bleak. He was surprised when the small town of Paradise, Massachusetts, offered him a job as police chief. He wondered if this was a real chance to start over. Once in Paradise, trouble found him. The town appeared quiet but was full of corruption, including a triple homicide, mob connections, troubled marriages, angry militia members, and a violent psychopath targeting the new police chief.
