The Lost World is a 1995 techno-thriller novel by Michael Crichton, serving as a sequel to his 1990 novel Jurassic Park. It is his tenth novel under his own name and twentieth overall. Published by Knopf, a paperback edition was released in 1996. In 1997, both Jurassic Park and The Lost World were re-published together as Michael Crichton's Jurassic World, a single-volume edition that is separate from the 2015 film of the same name. The book is part of the Jurassic Park series and is listed in the Open Library database under the work Lost World [2/2]. It is also included in the collection Michael Crichton's Jurassic World.
