The Lost World is a 1995 techno-thriller novel by Michael Crichton, serving as a sequel to his 1990 novel Jurassic Park. It is his tenth novel under his own name and twentieth overall. Published by Knopf, a paperback edition was released in 1996. In 1997, both Jurassic Park and The Lost World were re-published together as Michael Crichton's Jurassic World, a single-volume edition that is separate from the 2015 film of the same name.
