About “Intelligence in communication systems”
The 2004 IFIP International Conference on Intelligence in Communication Systems (INTELLCOMM2004) was held in Bangkok, Thailand, from November 23 to 26, 2004. It succeeded and expanded the SMARTNET conference series, which ran from 1995 to 2003 under IFIP TC6’s Working Group 6.7. The conference aimed to address the growing complexity of communication systems by integrating artistic, social, and technical approaches. It was jointly sponsored by IFIP WG 6.7 and WG 6.4 and provided a forum for academics, researchers, and practitioners. The conference covered topics such as adaptable network architectures, Semantic Web technologies, and intelligent human interaction. It received 112 paper submissions from 28 countries, with 24 accepted for publication and three accepted for poster presentations.
