About “User modeling 2005”
User modeling is the branch of human–computer interaction focused on creating and updating a conceptual representation of the user to enable system customization and adaptation. The primary aim is to ensure systems deliver appropriate content at the right time and in the right manner through an internal user representation. These models can also be used to simulate user behavior, particularly in assessing skills and knowledge, offering a cost-effective alternative to direct user testing while not replacing it.
