His Excellency Global Community Potentate Nicolae Carpathia has abandoned his public image as a pacifist and ordered all Morale Monitors to be armed. He prepares to travel along the Via Dolorosa and then to the temple, where unexpected events are expected. As tensions rise between good and evil, God causes sores on the bodies of those who have taken the mark. Meanwhile, His chosen ones flee to Petra, where they watch in fear as GC fighter planes appear and bombs begin to fall. The novel explores these dramatic events in a religious and apocalyptic context.
