Storm Rising features mysterious mage-storms that are causing widespread destruction across Valdemar, Karse, and the surrounding kingdoms, bringing earthquakes, monsoons, ice storms, and dangerous magical constructs. The Heralds of Valdemar and the Sunpriests of Karse attempt to unite their magical efforts to combat the storms, but their alliance is strained as the threat intensifies, requiring them to find and destroy the source of the storms before their world is destroyed in a final magical holocaust.
