Magnus Chase has lived alone on the streets of Boston since a traumatic night two years prior, when his mother told him to run. Randolph speaks about Norse history and Magnus's hidden heritage, including a long-lost weapon. As Randolph speaks, Magnus begins to remember stories about Asgard, wolves, and Doomsday. Before he can fully understand, a fire giant attacks the city, forcing him to make a choice between his safety and the lives of others. This is the first book in the Magnus Chase series, set in the Percy Jackson universe, published in 2015.
