About “Maigret and the Mad Woman”

This is a unique case for Maigret, who becomes deeply involved both mentally and emotionally. An elderly woman, well-kept and calm, approaches him after being disturbed by strange changes in her apartment when she's away. Her neighbors and Maigret's colleagues dismiss her as crazy, but Maigret is moved by her fear and promises to visit. Before he can, someone else arrives at her home.
