About “Maigret's Revolver”

Madame Maigret calls her husband to inform him that a frightened young man has come to their home and is waiting for him during his midday meal. When Maigret returns, he finds the guest gone and one of his revolvers missing. Later, a body is discovered in a railway trunk, shot with Maigret’s own gun. The detective is troubled but not surprised by the discovery. His search for the mysterious visitor leads him to travel to London, where he investigates one murder and tries to prevent another.
