About “A Call to Duty”

Travis Uriah Long sought order and discipline growing up, but his neglectful mother could not provide it. He joined the Royal Manticoran Navy, hoping to find the structure he craved. However, life in the RMN was not as expected—boot camp was difficult, his first ship assignment was disorganized, and the Navy was struggling due to a recent plague that had weakened the Star Kingdom of Manticore. A small nation with limited resources and no foreign allies, Manticore was facing pressure to dismantle its navy. Despite this, Travis soon learns that the universe is far from safe.
