About “Promise Me”

It began with a phone call at 2:17am. Myron Bolitar answers the ring, and Aimee Biel, a frightened teenager, asks for help. She had trusted Myron after he once promised to assist her if she needed it. He picks her up from a street corner but, against his better judgment, takes her to an unknown suburban address. Aimee disappears after waving from a dark porch, and Myron is left with guilt and the desperation of her family. He breaks a six-year vow to stay out of trouble and joins the search for her. His past haunts him, and those he cares about often suffer. Myron must confront who he is and what he stands for if he hopes to save Aimee and himself. He does not yet realize how far people will go to protect those they love.
