Musashi is a 1935 Japanese novel by Eiji Yoshikawa, serialized in the Asahi Shimbun from 1935-1939, fictionalizing the life of famed swordsman Miyamoto Musashi and his rivalry with Sasaki Kojiro; it is one of the best-selling novels in history with roughly 120 million copies sold and was translated into English by Charles S. Terry, published in a five-book split edition.
