About “Elmer and the Dragon”
Elmer and the Dragon is the second book in the My Father's Dragon trilogy by Ruth Stiles Gannett. It follows My Father's Dragon and precedes The Dragons of Blueland. In the story, Elmer Elevator and his dragon friend try to return home but become stranded on an island with talking animals.
