About “The Vengeance of Mothers: The Journals of Margaret Kelly & Molly McGill”

Kelly had participated in the government's 1873 "Brides for Indians" program, exchanging one thousand white women as brides for three hundred horses to secure peace with the Cheyenne Nation.
