About “The Tale of Tom Kitten”
The Tale of Tom Kitten is a children's book written and illustrated by Beatrix Potter. It was published by Frederick Warne & Co. in September 1907. The story focuses on manners and children's behavior. Tabitha Twitchit, a cat, invites friends for tea and prepares her three kittens by washing and dressing them. However, the kittens quickly soil and lose their clothes while playing in the garden. Tabitha is upset and sends the kittens to bed, telling her guests they have the measles. Later, the tea party is disrupted when the kittens run around upstairs, leaving a mess in the bedroom. (Summary adapted from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0.)
