About “De fluviis”

De fluviīs is a Greek text written by Pseudo-Plutarch in the 2nd century CE. It examines twenty-five rivers located in regions such as Greece, Asia Minor, India, Gaul, Egypt, Scythia, and Armenia. Each chapter begins with a myth related to the river, followed by details about the local plants and stones found there. The text concludes with information about a nearby mountain.
