Seventeen-year-old Milly Jones, a high school dropout, is found walking down the middle of the highway engulfed in flames in Tibbehah County, Mississippi, shocking the local community. Sheriff Quinn Colson, recently returned to duty after a year away, and his deputy Lillie Virgil lead the investigation into the incident. As accusations emerge and national media and federal authorities become involved, the case takes on a more troubling dimension with signs of additional victims.
