About “Red Dwarf: Infinity Welcomes Careful Drivers”

Lister got extremely drunk after celebrating his birthday with a Monopoly-board pub crawl in London. He awoke on one of Saturn's moons in a burger bar, wearing a pink crimplene hat and yellow fishing waders, with no money and a passport under the name 'Emily Berkenstein'. Joining the Space Corps seemed like a good choice. He was assigned to Red Dwarf, a deteriorating spaceship heading toward Earth. The mission never reached its destination, leaving Lister as the last human, three million years from Earth, with only a dead man, a senile computer, and a highly evolved cat for company. As they begin their journey home, they break the Light Barrier and encounter historical and fictional figures, including Einstein, Archimedes, God, and Norman Wisdom, while discovering an alternative plane of reality.
