Breakdown is a novel in the Remnants series that follows the Remnants as they confront the Blue Meanies after two of their members, Noyze and Doctor Cohen, are captured. The story centers on Yago's recruitment by Mother to lead a simulated Civil War army in an alternate White House environment, while the rest of the group pursues him to the Blue Meanie base, where they face internal conflict after Tamara's baby absorbs a Blue Meanie and is accused of being a Shipwright.
