About “The Throne of Caesar”
Julius Caesar, appointed dictator for life by the Roman Senate, has pardoned his enemies and rewarded his friends. He is preparing to leave Rome to fight the Parthian Empire. Gordianus the Finder, a retired investigator, has been given Equestrian rank and plans to retire. On March 10th, he is called by Cicero and then by Caesar himself. Both ask him to investigate if there are any plots against Caesar's life. Caesar also has an important personal matter to discuss. His close friend Meto, Gordianus's adopted son, will be honored by Caesar during the next Senate meeting on March 15th. Gordianus must use his old skills to uncover any conspiracies. However, multiple plots are in motion, and the Ides of March brings an inevitable murder.
