About “Stories to Caution the World”
Jingshi Tongyan is the second in a trilogy of Ming dynasty vernacular story collections compiled and edited by Feng Menglong. It was published in 1624. The first collection, Gujin Xiaoshuo, also known as Yushi Mingyan, was published in 1620. The third collection, Xingshi Hengyan, was published in 1627.
