About “Ballet Shoes”
Three orphans, Pauline, Petrova, and Posy, vow to make a name for themselves and, with a kindly benefactress's help, enter the world of show business, complete with working papers, footlights, and constant practice. Each girl finds her own talent: Pauline leans toward the movies, Posy is a born dancer, while Petrova discovers she would rather pilot a plane than perform.
