About “The flight of the silvers”

Hannah and Amanda Given experience the sudden end of the world when the sky turns frigid white and airplanes crash. They are saved by three mysterious beings who give each sister a silver bracelet. The sky then crashes down in a sheet of light, leaving the sisters in a strange new Earth. In this world, restaurants float like flying saucers and time is manipulated by household appliances. The sisters are joined by four other survivors, including a mordant cartoonist, a shy teenage girl, a brilliant young Australian, and a troubled ex-prodigy. Hunted by unknown enemies and struggling with unwanted temporal abilities, the group embarks on a cross-country journey to find a man who might save them before time runs out.
