About “Potshot”
Boston P.I. Spenser travels to Potshot, Arizona, a former mining town now popular with Los Angeles millionaires. The town has improved its image but faces threats from a gang led by a man called The Preacher. This group of outcasts steals from residents while pretending to support the town. Spenser is hired by Mary Lou Buckman to investigate her husband's murder. The Buckmans ran an outdoor tour service and refused to pay protection money to The Preacher. Spenser has no witnesses and no help from the local police. He teams up with his friends to take on the gang.
