About “Johnny Mnemonic”

"Johnny Mnemonic" is a cyberpunk short story by William Gibson, first published in Omni magazine in May 1981. It later appeared in his 1986 collection Burning Chrome. Set in the same fictional universe as Gibson's cyberpunk novels, the story predates those works and introduces the character Molly Millions, who becomes a key figure in the Sprawl trilogy.
