Space Seed" is an episode of the American science fiction television series Star Trek, first broadcast on February 16, 1967. It features the USS Enterprise crew encountering a sleeper ship containing genetically engineered superpeople from Earth's past, including their leader, Khan Noonien Singh, who attempts to take control of the vessel. The episode also includes the character Lt. Marla McGivers, who becomes romantically involved with Khan.
