When a group of alien warriors demands the return of an imprisoned comrade—someone no one on Deep Space Nine recognizes—Commander Benjamin Sisko faces a dangerous conflict. The warriors attack the station, forcing Sisko and his crew to fight to protect the lives of everyone aboard. At the same time, a device from the Gamma Quadrant transports Ferengi barkeeper Quark and Security Chief Odo three days into the future, where they find Deep Space Nine eerily silent. To save the station, they must uncover the cause of the invasion and find a way back through time.
