About “Star Trek The Next Generation - Grounded”

While responding to a distress call from a scientific station in a remote part of the galaxy, the U.S.S. Enterprise encounters a mysterious alien life form that feeds on and transforms inorganic materials. His actions lead to a confrontation with the alien force, which poses a threat to the entire Federation. The story is a 1993 novel by David Bischoff.
