About “Star Trek Voyager - Battle Lines”

While exploring uncharted space, the U.S.S. Voyager is ambushed and forced into service with the Edesian Fleet in their war against the Gimlon. The Edesian commander claims they are defending their people from an enemy, but Captain Janeway remains doubtful. With Chakotay and other crew members held hostage, she has no choice but to join the campaign. She soon learns the Gimlon have developed a powerful super-weapon capable of destroying entire worlds. As the Voyager fights a war it did not start, the crew faces a battle they are unlikely to win. The story is part of a 1999 novel by Dave Galanter and Greg Brodeur.
