About “Cloak”
Star Trek: Section 31 is a 2025 science fiction television film directed by Olatunde Osunsanmi and written by Craig Sweeny for Paramount+. It is the first television film and the fourteenth film in the Star Trek franchise. Part of Alex Kurtzman's expanded Star Trek Universe, the film is a spin-off from Star Trek: Discovery. Set during the franchise's "lost era" between the original Star Trek films and Star Trek: The Next Generation, it follows Philippa Georgiou as she works with Section 31, a secret Starfleet division. The story focuses on her efforts to protect the United Federation of Planets while confronting her past. The film is based on a 2001 Star Trek novel by S. D. Perry.
