About “Starfist”

The Starfist novels by David Sherman and Dan Cragg follow the experiences of combat veterans who have seen the harsh realities of war. In this latest installment, the Marines of the Confederation's 34th Fleet Initial Strike Team (FIST) face a rebellion on the remote planet Ravenette. The Confederation has increased its defenses against a deadly enemy, but some planets view these actions as oppressive and have declared war. The 34th FIST fights against the seceding planets and a fanatical commanding officer. Ensign Charlie Bass and his Marines are sent on a dangerous mission that requires an amphibious landing against well-equipped enemies. Despite being outmanned and outgunned, the Marines push forward with determination, knowing that their mission is critical to stopping the enemy. There is no other choice but to fight, as the Marines are sent in when the situation is most desperate.
