StarFist is a series of military science fiction novels written by David Sherman and Dan Cragg. The stories take place in the 25th century and follow the experiences of the men in the Confederation of Human Worlds Marine Corps 34th FIST. A related series, StarFist: Force Recon, was also written by the same authors. The first book in the spin-off series, Backshot, was published in 2005. All novels in both series were released by Del Rey Books. The works focus on the military actions and personal struggles of the characters within the fictional military organization.
