About “A Question of Guilt”
Nancy Drew and her father, Carson, travel to Philadelphia for a meeting of the Vidocq Society, a group focused on solving unsolved crimes. Carson's client, Buff Bellamy, was tried for the murder of Laurel Kenway, the ward of real estate mogul Stafford Bellamy. Carson successfully defended Buff on a technicality, but many believe Buff is guilty. Nancy is determined to prove his innocence beyond a doubt. Frank and Joe Hardy, along with their father Fenton, are also at the meeting. They believe Buff is guilty and have worked to secure his conviction. Fenton investigated the case, and the brothers found evidence that led to Buff's trial. All three—Nancy, Frank, and Joe—are invested in the outcome, but they share the same goal: to find the real killer. This 1996 novel by Carolyn Keene follows the collaboration of these teen detectives as they work to uncover the truth behind a high-profile murder case.
