About “Told You I'd Be Back”
Have I Told You Lately is a romantic ballad written and recorded by Northern Irish singer and songwriter Van Morrison for his nineteenth studio album, Avalon Sunset, released in 1989. The song was originally conceived as a prayer and features an opening line derived from "I Forgot to Be Your Lover" by William Bell. It has since become frequently performed at weddings.
